I Will Be Teaching a Workshop in Beautiful Door County, Wisconsin this Summer

I am looking forward to teaching a two day workshop  August 31 & September 1, 2018 at Peninsula School of Art.

Please join me if you can for this exciting learning opportunity!

The course is entitled Interactions of Color and Composition and will be one of your few chances to learn some painting, drawing, and color theory concepts from me without having to enroll as a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Workshop: Interactions of Color and Composition
Dates and Times: August 31-September 1 | 9am-4pm

In this workshop we will discover the impact that fundamental principles of design and color theory have in composing successful images. I will introduce the exciting effects of color interaction, harmonious and discordant color schemes, compositional strategies, and various underpainting techniques to create dynamic paintings.

Demonstrations and lectures with visual references will present concepts in color and design, including line, shape, value and compositional balance. Prompts and color experiments will offer the opportunity to put these concepts into action in your preferred painting medium.
I will provide individualized attention to students as well as daily group instruction and critiques.
